Narrative description of project:
The appraisal of the Gender Based Violence Prevention and Response (P&R) programme was a pre-implementation root and branch review and rewrite. Description of services provided:
The appraisal team provided the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland with clear guidance on how to develop an achievable programme on Strengthening Prevention and Response GBV in Kenya. A field mission took place in April, 2019. The team leader and the National Consultant visited the capital (Nairobi) and provinces of Bungoma and Kilifi conducting key informant interviews and focus group discussions. The team delivered an appraisal report and finalised the programme document suggesting changes and providing recommendations.
