Narrative description of project:
In October 2013, a hera team reviewed the PAISS project in Burundi, implemented by BTC.
The PAISS project is providing institutional support, both at national level, and at local / provincial level (in two provinces – Kirundo and Muramvya). PAISS started in 2011 and builds on work done through separate BTC projects (institutional support at central level; support to district health care in Kirundo; support to public paramedical training schools and to MOH/HR department).

The MTR focused on three PAISS components, i.e.: (i) governance at central level; (ii) governance at the peripheral level; and, (iii) strengthening HR management at central level and strengthening HR training schools.
