Institutional audit of the health sector in Mauritania

Narrative description of project:
Following the delay in progress to achieve the health MDGs in Mauritania, it was necessary to complete the situation analysis carried out during the development of the National Health Development Plan (PNDS) in 2011 by the organizational and institutional audit of the sector, especially the Ministry of Health at central, regional and district level and institutions under supervision.
The objective of the study was to provide the Ministry of Health the additional analysis and information to optimize its administrative and operational organization and its operation, to carry out its tasks and to ensure efficient implementation of the PNDS 2012-2020, including high impact priority programs according to the strategic axes of the PNDS.
