Narrative description of project:
UNOPS is the Fund Manager for the Three Millennium Development Goals Fund (3MDGF). The 3MDG Fund is intended to provide support for health needs in Myanmar over the period 2012 through 2016. Total donor commitments and contributions to the Fund equal approximately USS250-300 million.
The aim of the 3MDGF is to contribute towards the goal of attainment of MDGs 4, 5 and 6 in Myanmar.
The 3MDG Fund is supported through a pooled donor fund. lt is implemented in line with aid effectiveness principles, including ensuring harmonisation and alignment with the initiatives of other donors such as the Global Fund, GAVI, the World Bank etc.
