Narrative description of project:
The Zambian Government (GRZ) is to develop a project proposal detailing how it will achieve measurable progress towards the relevant MDGs. Beyond aiming at measurable impact, the project design should aspire to document experience and to generate information, which will contribute to the long-term improvement of the relevant services in health and other sectors.
Technical assistance for project design and implementation is being provided by the UN. Co-ordinated through the One UN dynamic, technical UN agencies collaborated with GRZ institutions in the development of the concept note, and support the current process of drafting a detailed project proposal. The UN will continue to provide technical and managerial support during implementation, and will assist the accompanying research and monitoring activities.
