Narrative description of project:
The support of BTC to Cardiac Tertiary Care in the OPT has elapsed for more than 15 years (1997-2014) through three phases. The general objective of the project is to improve the global health care in Palestine by reducing mortality and morbidity due to cardiac ailments in children and adults. The specific objectives are to upgrade the diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac care facilities in three tertiary care hospitals and upgrade treatment capacity in another tertiary hospital in Gaza.

The objective of the final evaluation as defined in the Terms of Reference is to assess the achievement of the project in reaching its expected results and specific objectives through assessing across the five basic criteria of (1) relevance, (2) efficiency, (3) effectiveness, (4) impact, and (5) sustainability and also the transversal issues of (a) HIV/AIDS, (2) gender and (3) human rights.
