Strengthening Strategic Health Planning in the EMR

Narrative description of project:
In the past few years member states (MS) approached WHO for technical support. In response, the Eastern and Mediterranean Regional Office (EMRO) developed a programme aimed at developing the capacity of the national teams in ministries of health in policy analysis and strategic planning development.
EMRO sees strategic planning as a contribution to support MS in achieving commitments taken during Regional Committees and other WHO supported areas. EMRO has invited high-level health decision-makers of MS health ministries to a seminar on health planning in Cairo in early November 2015.
