Narrative description of project:
The World Bank Health, Nutrition and Population Sector Programme (HNPSP) in Bangladesh was a six year program with an aim of improving the country’s performance in reaching health, nutrition, and population-related MDGs, addressing new and emerging challenges such as non-communicable diseases, and implementing reforms such as decentralization and contracting with non-state providers. hera was contracted by the World Bank to ensure that the health commodities procured by the Bangladesh Ministry of Health and its institutions had the required quality consistent with international standards, such as approval by the WHO Prequalification Programme and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
