In October 2020, hera was awarded a two years contract with UN WOMEN for the Mid-Term Assessment of the Spotlight Initiative, a multi-year initiative between the European Union (EU) and the United Nations (UN), focused on eliminating all forms of violence against women and girls (VAWG). hera partner Marieke Devillé will oversee this project and work closely with a core team of five regional team leaders who will collaborate with a large group of national and regional consultants; and a diverse reference group providing quality assurance. Project Officer Eléonore Deboutte will be in charge of this project.
During the duration of the contract, the team will perform 32 Mid-Term Assessments (MTAs) covering 26 country programmes, 5 regional and one thematic programme across 6 regions (Africa, ASEAN region, Caribbean, Central Asia, Latin America and the Pacific). hera will collaborate with experts coming from these regions and countries to get the work done.
