Georgiana Strugariu

Georgiana joined hera in 2026 as a Project Officer.
Georgiana is responsible for project support and works in close collaboration with the project officers and the director to identify new tendering opportunities.
She assists with the day-to-day coordination of contracts, ensuring consistent and effective communication with clients, consultants, and partners.
Georgiana is passionate about mental health and access to care in Eastern Europe and recognises the importance of cross-cultural collaboration. She has a background in mental health research, with a particular focus on youth mental health and psychotraumatology.
Georgiana holds a BA in Psychology and is currently completing her MA in Trauma Psychology. She is fluent in English and Romanian, with limited working proficiency in French and beginner-level Italian.

The Mongolian Vice Minister of Health, Byambsuren Lamjav, met with a hera team in October to discuss ongoing work on improving access to affordable medicines in public hospitals in Mongolia. hera is providing technical assistance to the new government under an Asian Development Bank cooperative project.

Bridging the Gap in Health Care Services in DRC with the ASSR Programme

Operating in four provinces of DRC – Nord Ubangi, Kasai, Kasai Central, and Maniema – the ASSR programme targets an estimated population of 9 million. The anticipated maximum value of the ASSR programme over its 18-month duration is £35 million.

Assess the feasibility of the local production of essential medicines especially those related to the three communicable diseases, namely HIV and AIDS, TB and Malaria as well as the production of health commodities for the three diseases.
