Kashi Carasso, MPH MScPharm
Kashi is a public health professional and pharmacist with over 20 years of experience in the strategy, implementation, and evaluation of health programs in developing countries. She is a partner at hera and currently serves as the Chair of the Board.
Her technical expertise focuses on monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of complex public health interventions, as well as procurement and supply chain management of essential medicines. Throughout her career, she has provided technical assistance to a wide range of international clients, including the European Commission, FCDO, UNICEF, WHO, the World Bank, and the Global Fund. Her work has spanned over 25 countries across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, with recent assignments focusing on local medical supplier development and market analysis in fragile contexts such as Syria, Afghanistan, and Yemen.
In addition to her consultancy work, Kashi is a lecturer, examiner and thesis supervisor at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) and the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT). She served as a member of UNITAID’s Proposal Review Committee for eight years (2014–2022) and is an active member of QUAMED, advocating for quality medicines for all.
Beyond her public health career, Kashi is certified in body-oriented trauma therapy Somatic Experiencing® (SE), trained in NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM) for complex trauma, and has over 18 years of experience facilitating personal growth & development processes. She gives trauma-informed sessions in her private practice in the Netherlands, and to undocumented people at an organisation providing healthcare to the uninsured.
